Tim sold the Triumph!

We had hoped to have had a leisurely weekend, but Tim had to scramble a little bit to get the Triumph ready to show for sale. Tim has been trying to sell the car for a few months, but we never had anyone show up with the cash. Well, today, the Triumph went home with a new family...and, they paid for the car in cash! Now, it's time to pay off some bills!

We went for a mini hike this afternoon with Ty to try out our new kelty baby carrier. It is great as Ty has a great view of the world!

Catching up on Louisiana pics

I'm finally getting caught up after being home since our trip to Louisiana. My mom gave me a CD of all of the pictures she took while we were with her. Here is the link to all of the pictures. Some of the pics are a little "fogged". That was actually caused by outrageous humidity fogging up my mom's camera.

Out for our daily walk

Ty and I went out for our daily walk today. I ran into Jenny, one of our fellow mothers from our birth class. We walked around with Jenny and her son, Ezra, who is a month older than Ty. We cruised through the new children's park that Ty will soon be able to enjoy!

Plump Ty out strolling

We made it back from Louisiana late last night. After a week in 95-100 degree weather, we are back in our long pants and Ty in his stroller blankets to handle the San Francisco fog. After messing with Ty's sleep and eating schedule all week, we are trying to get back on track. Ty was a little upset last night that we didn't let him sleep with us or nurse all night. Ty seems to have enjoyed some of the Louisiana "food" and put on a few ounces this week. I haven't weighed him in a while, but he is feeling and looking a little heftier.

Ty in his Mickey Mouse costume

Why is Ty dressed like Mickey Mouse? Why not? Doesn't everyone have a Mickey Mouse costume to be worn nowhere near Halloween? The costume is care of Gigi (Nita) and there always a good excuse to take pictures of a baby in a cute costume, right?

More poached eggs

Another pic of Ty with the cups to be used for poaching eggs. Who knew they would make such fun laughs at Ty's expense?

No, they are not green ears

On the long drive home from the beach to Zachary, my mom placed her new kitchen gadget on Ty's head. Yes, those green things are cups for poaching eggs. But, he didn't seem to mind and we were entertained for at least an hour!

More pics...

Forgot to also post the link to ALL of the pictures we've taken the last few days. Both of my parents (Kirby & Nita) just got Apple iphones, so we have been using the phones to snap pictures of Ty and play with all of the other features. Needless to say, we have way too many snapshots now. :>

Ty getting spoiled in Louisiana

We have had an adventurous weekend. We were supposed to arrive at the New Orleans airport at midnight, but our flight was delayed. So, we arrived at 3:30AM and then drove to Zachary. We got home and in bed at a sick 5:30AM. Needless to say, we all felt a bit wacky today. Ty got used to us holding him and me nursing him constantly on the long day yesterday, so he didn't know we weren't doing that again today. But, we recovered. Ty had a good time gnawing on teething biscuits. He was thrilled! It was messy, but a good time and a sign of things to come.

My friends, Tammy, Rob, Sarah and Miss Sharon came for burgers tonight. Sarah got in the pool with Tim and Ty. Dad also played with his new "sea" toy...a self-propelled motorized toy that will take you up to 98 feet underwater. I can only imagine how this is going to go at the beach.

One near miss tonight...the butane BBQ tank caught on fire tonight. Apparently, there was a leak in the gas line. I thought Dad was going to toss the entire grill into the swimming pool because it took so long to get the fire put out. Thankfully, it was under control before the fire department arrived. I pushed Ty into my friend, Tammy's arms and she walked down the street away. I think my parents need to invest in a few extra fire extinguishers now.
