Nothing too exciting...
Ty and I seemed busy this week, but I don't exactly know what we did. We drove my friend, Sharon, and her baby, Maya to the airport today. It's always fun loading up two babies in the car.
Ty pretty much refuses to wear hats these days. But, we have him temporarily outsmarted. He hasn't figured out how to take off the hat from a hoodie. I'm sure he'll figure it out next week and then I'll just have to worry about him being cold.
We've had a local tragedy...a tanker hit the Bay Bridge and spilled 58,000 gallons of oil in the Bay. It's affecting every beach in the area (some of our favorite places like Crissy Field) and hurting lots of the wildlife. My friend, Anne, just posted on her blog about it at http://annetics.blogspot.com/2007/11/breaks-my-heart.html
She has some great links to articles and pictures on a google map, also.

Moving & Growing
I totally forgot to post. Ty now has four teeth. He got his top right tooth in first. I was shocked at how big it was. He obviously didn't get his teeth from me...his baby teeth look bigger than mine now! Also, you may notice a few bruises on Ty. He is trying very hard to stand up by holding on to the sharpest possible objects in our house. And, he took a hard wack on our TV table. And, then in bad parent form, I turned my back on Ty while he was sitting on the bed. By the time I saw him launching off of the bed, I couldn't catch him fast enough. I may be forever traumatized, but I'm so thankful that we have a platform bed, which means that we don't have box springs and the bed is sort of lower to the ground.
Now, I have to watch the little guy's every move...he just moves too quickly now!

Catching Up...
We are back in cyberspace! I got my computer back and am back in business. But, I'm trying very hard to limit my amount of online time. It's too easy to procrastinate all of my chores!
I'm not sure what has really happened the last few weeks. Ty is into everything. He especially wants anything with an electric cord and anything electronic. He is my son, after all.
Ty dressed as a "Tyger" for Halloween. Tim and I went as zookeepers (of course). It wasn't much in the way of costumes, but I did get patches and shirts from the San Francisco zoo. Hence, the pictures of goats in Fickr.

On internet vacation
Well, we are having technical difficulties right now. DSL is misbehaving and our lovely mac is at the shop for repairs. I'm working on Tim's laptop right now...so, no uploaded pictures or updates for 7-12 days. It feels a bit odd, but I'm trying to use this time as internet rehab. My house if significantly cleaner, though!

Trying out Flickr
I am trying out Flickr to store our photos. I get unlimited free storage with Flickr as past of my DSL. And, since I will have the most photographed baby of all times, I definitely need the unlimited account size!
Check out the little panel (AKA the badge) on the right side of the webpage...that will take you into all of the Flickr pictures.

Lesley & Ty's Weekend
Tim spent the weekend at a conference for Landscape Architects. That means that we had the weekend all to ourselves. We have officially entered my favorite time of the year here in San Francisco. It is finally our summer! We have a little feel of fall, but with the sunniness of summer. It is beautiful now! Ty and I went to the Blues Festival. Someone estimated that there were 500,000 people there. I'm not sure about that. But, it sure helps to have a big stroller to push through the crowds. We only went for an hour or so, but we listened to Michelle Shocked.
Because the event was FREE, everyone was there! Yes, everyone...bikers, yuppies, hippies, Rasta dudes, country western folks, bridge & tunnel folks...and, lots of babies! Apparently, an investment banker pays for the entire event---six stages of concurrent concerts all weekend - 72 acts in all. Emmylou Harris closed the event last night, but it was too late for us. Ty has now attended his first concert. Of course, I had to dodge the pot smoking. :>
On Sunday, Ty and I went to Fleet Week at Crissy Field. Every year, the Blue Angels perform over San Francisco as part of the Fleet Week events. I've seen it probably 5 years and it is still amazing!!! We got a great spot at Crissy Field and we had a great time. Ty didn't know about the loud jets screaming right over us, but just maybe...

Check out the Blue Angels in the sky above the bridge!

Winding up September
Oh my...September is already gone! Ty is 7 months old now. He has become a little monkey! He is happy playing much longer now that he can sit up by himself and scoot around. I'm having to be a lot more careful now because he is launching himself everywhere! It may be time for us to drop the mattress on his bed because I caught him standing up and grabbing one of his LSD trip inspiring mobile things and trying to pull out of the crib!
Tim is at a conference all weekend, so we may hang out in the park at the FREE Bluegrass festival. It should be interesting, as any FREE San Francisco event will be full of interesting things. Expect an update.
More pics of the boy!
