Ty posing in the stroller

Ty posing in the stroller right before I sell it...more later on the Stroller Swapping! Yes, I've sold another and am re-buying one that we already had! (Well, a new one, but the same version).

Maverick's

Finally, the weather is good again. The weather cleared just in time for the Maverick's surf contest down in Half Moon Bay. (Check out the links at Mavericks Surf .) Our friends, Susan and Bob, grabbed a campsite and we met them down there. We couldn't see much, as the surf break was about 1/2 mile off the coast, but I got to catch a few of the competitors through the binoculars. But, we had a great weekend hanging out with Susan and Bob having an impromptu BBQ right at the coastal campsite.

Cheeck out the view. You can't tell, but the surfers are on 30 foot waves out there.

We came back to crazy San Francisco weather. Lots of people were without power for several days. Fortunately, we were only without power for one morning. Ty and were looking out the window when a huge tree got ripped out of the ground and fell onto the street and MUNI lines. It was pretty crazy to watch all day, as slowly more and more branches fell down.

We got a little cabin fever because of all the rain, but we found refuge at the mall with our friend, Sharon, and her baby, Maya. Ty kept trying to grab Maya's food and toys!

We started back at Ty's weekly physical therapy. Here he is riding Rody. We're hoping he'll be "fired" from therapy soon, as he has caught up developmentally because of all of the "alternative" therapies he has done (Anat Baniel Method and Osteopathy). But, he has lots of fun at physical therapy, as they have many more toys and a great big room to play in.

Ty also watched some of the LSU game with me...can't you see how into the game he is?

We stopped back in Denver for three days on the way home. Ty got to meet his newest friend, Cooper. Cooper is Ang & Geri's (Tim's parents) new Scottie pup. Ty and Cooper are pretty much the same size at 22 pounds each. We had to be on the lookout, as Tim's parents have stairs, which we have never dealt with. Ty streaked off a few times and started hauling up the stairs!

Belated Happy New Years Greetings-Part 1

We're already halfway through January 2008 and I'm already behind! So much to catch up on. We went to Louisiana for Christmas. My mom is in the process of remodeling her kitchen, so she has so much more space now. Ty had his own little "Ty town" play area in her kitchen. And, so many new toys that he doesn't have at home. If you want to see a couple of videos of Ty playing with my brother, Kirby, here it is. Ty laughs so hard in one of them that he just keeps falling over.

In the Edwards' tradition, we all got matching pajamas. Ty stood out in his new red Christmas pajamas.

Tim sometimes gets a little stir crazy in Louisiana, so we did a little road trip. Ty loves Alton Brown on the Food Network and his "Feasting on Asphalt" show. We recreated one of Alton's road trips to Lorman, Mississippi to find the Old Country Store owned by Mr. D for fried chicken. Lorman is about 20 minutes north of Natchez and not too far from the Natchez Trace. Check out this link for the background on it. Feasting on Asphalt

The fried chicken was worth the 2 hour drive! And, we got to hear Mr. D sing to us after we got our chicken...check it out on Youtube
