Long Weekend with Nonie

We've had a nice long weekend with Tim's mother, Geri. I had an all day class on Saturday, so Tim and Geri got Ty all day! Ty has been enjoying all sorts of new food...he is enjoying avocados, plums, apples, pears, yams, peaches...and now we are on to peas. I like it because he is so giddy when eating. You'd think he would be huge. Here are some pics of Ty. No, it's not really cold enough for a sweater. But, we wanted to take pictures of Ty in his sweater and hat for one of Geri's friends. Bike Ride in Sonoma County

My friend, Devora, organized an 80 mile ride in Sonoma County. Tim wasn't up for the whole thing, so I ran the support car. Tim rode halfway while Ty and I rode in the car. It was a most beautiful day ending in Bodega Bay. Check out the views!

Charlie the Basset

Look who we met in Golden Gate Park today. Meet Charlie, a 3 month old Basset Hound. He had very similar markings and colors as Samantha, who was our Basset Hound in Louisiana growing up. Charlie had great big feet and beautiful soft ears...And, he still has that great puppy smell. I didn't get a picture of his snarly fourteen year-old Bulldog companion, though.

New windows!

Finally! We finally got new windows in our condo. We are the bottom floor...you can see the old windows right above ours (which will be done soon). Immediately, we have significantly less street noise and we won't have moisture pouring in to our walls when the rainy season starts.

Afternoon Nap

Our condo is having new windows installed. Ours were done today, which meant that it was loud. My very nice neighbor let us hang out in her unit...Ty got tiny naps in. But, it was so very bright and he didn't have his bed...but, some nap is better than no nap!

Tim was in the Safeway shopping for the week. Ty and I hung out in the car waiting. To kill time, we took a bunch of "self portraits" in the backseat of the VW.

Labor Day Weekend

We had a very unplanned, but very busy Labor Day weekend. We went wine tasting down in Los Gatos at David Bruce. We hadn't been there in a while. The winery is 5 miles down a very windy hill road, so Tim got to test out the handling in the mini. Ty and I held off tight in the back seat. Funny, we were not the only people wine tasting with babies! But, we appeared to be the only couple hauling out a case of wine in our stroller.

The weather in SF was great, so we tried to get outside as much as possible. We also did a significant amount of loafing and goofing off. I tried to take some self portraits with the three of us. Not too good.

Ty is now six months old! We cannot believe how quickly it has gone. He is now eating cereal and fruits and loving every single bite. We now know for sure that he is really ours! The little guy is also a big talker. We have no idea what he is thinking or trying to say, but he sure is saying and screaming emphatically.
