Tim needed a day off, so we spent a very fun Father's Day around town. We had a good breakfast without drama, which is an accomplishment with a toddler. We then went to the zoo. Ty especially loved the sea lions, frogs and any fast moving primate. We had a yummy Mexican lunch and then visited the Kirkland Museum in downtown Denver, which showcases modern art, furniture and housewares.

We moved out the first of the month into a temporary apartment home while we complete our home remodel. We decided to go with an apartment rather than a home with yard. I don't think we can handle taking care of two yards. Also, we found a brand new development with decent rents and they let us have a short term rental. Ty is a two year old with all of the fun and glory. I don't usually take photos of tantrums or unhappiness, but I figured I should take a few pictures to torture him in high school. And, he's pretty cute even when he isn't getting his way.

We've moved into our temporary apartment. It's a 2 bedroom without too much fanciness, but it has a great walk-in closet. Ty likes to hide behind the low clothes racks, especially when I'm chasing him and trying to get him dressed. We had a big giggle fest one day while trying to flush him out.

The mini cooper does great in snow until the snow is bigger than the mini. Friendly police and locals helped us get unstuck. It took so long that Ty and mom rode with a policeman back to the condo so he wouldn't be stuck in the car and cold while we worked on being unstuck. All good now.

Ty, you're officially a toddler now...I keep telling calling him "baby", but I think that moment may have passed. We had a great time on Ty's birthday. My mom was able to be here and almost all of Tim's family was here. We had friends from Boulder, our architect, Chris and his wife, Tiffany, and their son, Charlie. Not too many posts this month. First, it is almost impossible to take a picture of Ty because he runs away or I have pictures of the back of his head. Secondly, "someone" dropped the camera again and some of the settings are either changed or the camera is damaged...so, all of the pictures are too exposed and grainy. We just got back from four days at Winter Park ski resort. It's been a long time since we've done consecutive days of skiing. We never could master the logistics of California skiing. My brother, Kirby, came out to snowboard with us. Unfortunately, he took a big fall after flipping over (scorpion style if you can picture it)...we spent a bit of time in the medical clinic watching the bodies line

I have more and more suggestions for you. I remember being asked to raise money for the March of Dimes in elementary school, but I didn't give them a thought until Ty was born. Ty was the only baby that wasn't a preemie in the NICU when we was born. One of my fellow NICU moms who had her baby at 25 weeks then began raising awareness for the March of Dimes and the work they do for pregnant moms

I think the bow for the top of the tree came out pretty good. I found some old ribbon in the basement...it was probably from a package that my mom sent last Christmas. So I didn't have to run to the store, I took the wire wrapper from my sliced bread. Because the wire wrapper was purple, I just wrapped some leftover narrow gold ribbon over it before I put it on the tree. It's only taken me 20

My mom has always made the perfect bows for Christmas gifts. She has tried to teach me several times, but I can never remember. So, I asked her to video herself and then post it on YouTube. We have success...I was able to make a few bows, with only a few problems. First, my ribbon wasn't wide enough. Second, I didn't have pipe cleaners, so I had to use the twist tie from the swiss chard I bought.
